On your artist dashboard, you’ll see performance metrics like the number of song placements, new fans, and more. These reflect how your music is being used by Thematic creators in exchange for promotion, not revenue.
Your Earned Media Value (EMV) estimates the marketing cost you would have to spend to get similar exposure and engagement through paid campaigns. EMV represents the organic promotional value Thematic delivers but does not generate direct income.
Your actual payouts come from YouTube Content ID earnings (UGC royalties). These earnings come from YouTube videos posted by users without valid licenses who use your music. Thematic claims and monetizes these videos on your behalf.
You receive 80% of all collected YouTube Content ID earnings, while Thematic retains the remaining 20% to support the platform.
You can track your YouTube earnings in the YouTube Earnings tab on your artist dashboard.
